This beautiful villa located in the region of Somosaguas (Spain) is the successful work of architecture studio A-Cero. The house can be aesthetically inscribed in the series of projects made by the studio, presenting a greater spatial complexity and and use of shapes that underlines the relation between A-cero’s architecture and contemporary sculpture.

At first glance the house shows its dominance with the stylized curves and bold shapes in continous harmony with the natural context, while keeping its obvious modern character. The horizontal shapes piled up one on another that give the impression of a stratified building and the texturized dark concrete façades, create a house that rises so naturally from the earth.

The interior spaces are freed of columns and other elements that would alter its fluidity and openness. Using light materials, covering the floors with large format white ceramic tiles and finishing bathrooms in white aluminum improve the overall aspect of the house.

The spaces inside are of different heights and levels and the rooms have different shapes. The lower level contains the main hall, covered by a curved ceiling, living and dining rooms, master bedroom, gym, interior pool, kitchen and service areas. On the upper level is located a painting studio, under a long curved ceiling, flooded with natural light and the best views over the surrounding landscape. The basement is dedicated to health and leisure, with a bar, games room, chill out, massage room, projection room, cellar and gym.

Thanks for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing
to do a little research on this. We got a grab a book
from our local library but I think I learned more clear from this
post. I’m very glad to see such fantastic information being shared freely
out there.
