Yael Hollander – 2 Miles. Yael designed high-heeled shoes for women inspired by Siamese twins. In her work, she examined the aesthetics of the disability and its ability to create values of beauty. The Siamese twins were the inspiration in the connections and doubling of the objects. Unique pairs of shoes were created, creating confrontation between terms such as: roughness, femininity, elegance, unification and splitting while using material and structure. Techniques and materials: hardened fabric, cast plastic.
