Now in its 10th year, the ‘Art in the Easter Egg’ has become an annual event where uniquely crafted eggs are donated by 40 artists, architects and designers to raise funds for ANLAIDS Lazio (National Association Act against AIDS). ‘Eco-sustainable’, the Green-Egg created by Matteo Cainer embraces the design philosophy of environmental and social responsibility.
Green Skyscrapers, sustainable towers, urban forests and vertical farms all express the re-birth of environmentally conscious design. The creation not only explores the relationship between nature and architecture, but also makes reference to the foundation of the Christian faith and the resurrection, through a new awareness of nature. The resulting art work represents an evolving harmony between nature and architecture.
The exhibition opened on the 22nd March 2012 in FENDI, Via Borgognona in the centre of Rome, and it will remain open until the 1st April 2012.
