Does the person writing here mean, perhaps, that s/he is “psyched” to present these awesome drawings? I think so. I am NOT dissing the author for simplifying the word to “siked”–language lives & changes. Still, to write it as “psyched” links it more firmly to “psyche” & “psychedelic” & all of that, I think. And, boy howdy, are these drawings ever linked to the Psyche AND to the psychedelic! I am VERY inspired to try something like this myself. I’ve been struggling lately, wondering what it is I really want to convey with my artwork. I feel stupid not having that question answered FIRST, before I even put pencil/charcoal/pen to paper. Still, it is all OK. I need to learn the means of self-expression in order to self-express. Learning to draw, to manipulate materials, is time well spent. It is a meditation. As long as I continue to show up & practice, I will express what is meant to be conveyed. I just love drawing & painting in pastel SO much! Art is such a blast!
This is a great website & I am happy I lurched into it this evening. Thanks for being here! L&K, MB
