Sara Franco – Neo-Punk Sexy Crazy Art

Sara Franco is a freelance  illustrator and painter based in Lisbon. She studied painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon and works as an illustrator since 2005. Her work has been published  in internationl magazines like Umbigo Magazine, Diário de Noticias, Jornal de Noticias, Le Cool Magazine Lisboa, Le Cool Magazine London, Outsider, Big Ode, Staf Magazine (Barcelona), Grab Magazine ( Italy).

In 2005 developed the project PLASMA! at the Lugar Comum – Artistic Experimentation Center at the Powder Factory, in Barcarena. In 2008, her work was exhibited at the Contemporary Art Fair in Lisbon, represented by the  Bernardo Marques Gallery where in 2009 she exhibited a series of individual works titled CRASH and also participated in the urban art intervention during the four days “D. Pedro V está vivo!” event,  alongside the Brazilian graffiti artist Nunca and other Brazilian artists.

She collaborated with Trama Bookstore as coordinator of visual art until December 2009, where she was also in charge of creation and coordination of the project [10:10] – 10 posters in 10 weeks.

“Time will kill us”– 2010 – Amadora (Individual)
CRASH at theBernardo Marques Gallery – 2009 – Lisbon (Individual)
