Jakuesta Kuesta is a Spanish artist currently residing between Santiago de Compostela and the island of Ibiza. The geometric, almost architectural shapes we find in his paintings, matched by vivid and contrasting colors, are inspired by the north of Spain and the Mediterranean, two regions that complement each other, as the artist says. To create his mixed-media works, the artist uses cardboard, paper, ink, lac, and acrylic, on a format of 35 x 24 cm. His latest inspiration has been the Ancient Egypt, creating and entire series dedicated to it.
