Julie de Waroquier is a self-taught French photographer who started photography in 2008. Her works are very subtle, undefined, almost invisible, like a magical world that only Julie can reveal for us. With slight modifications of light and color, her photographs cross the border from dream to reality. Her works are more than merely pictures, they represent symbols and surreal concepts, like a silent fantasy world shouting out loud into our material world.
In 2012, she distinguished herself by winning several national and international awards, notably the International Emerging Artist Award. The same year, her photographs were exhibited at the Rencontres d’Arles and she has published her first book “Dreamalities”, which is edited by KnowWare editions.
