Anastassia Elias is a Paris based painter and illustrator, but also a sculptor that carves tiny scenes out of the inside of each brown paper roll, leaving the outside intact.
Elias cuts the paper shapes out using a paper very close to the toilet roll and uses tweezers to manipulate the shapes inside. The subjects are engaged in everyday activities like relaxing at home, listening to a lecture or passing through a street market. Each piece takes a few hours to complete because of the intricate cutting and the small scale of the project.
