Carlo Borer is a freelance artist living and working in Wanzwil, Switzerland. He develops his objects in virtual space using CAD software, then, using lasers and a very sophisticated craftsmanship, he turns his art into real life sculptures.

His steel and aluminium sculptures range from installations and furniture to utilitarian objects such as espresso machines, ventilators, and mailboxes.

Initially, Borer was focused chiefly figurative painting, drawing, and three-dimensional work made of polyester and electrical light, but since 1991 he has using 3D computer graphics to design his work. (via ArtistADay)
