Unmask – Flash Memory Sculptures

Liu Zhan, Kuang Jun and Tan Tianwei are the artists that go by the name Unmask. The trio met while at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and have been producing sculptural work together since 2001. In an almost Grecian sculptural way, their sculpture series entitled Flash Memory pays an homage  to the human form, adding that modernism note by deleting the unnecessary parts from the sculptures. This series also includes horse sculptures, created in the same subtracting technique.

I love this work its free, light and at the same time substantially suggestive. I believe most artiste have a fear of the void. or my favorite art term (Horror vacui). Your work offers the public the opportunity to use there own vision. It inspires me just wanted to say thanks. kll
